A Mid Summer Night’s Dream

It’s been a long rehearsal week at DSL. I’ve been cast as Thesus in our Shakespeare comedy block. 4 solid days of rehearsal and a performance on Monday and Tuesday next week. I also get to be a Fairy, a bit of a clown which I’m quite pleased about!

Clown Performance

A great performance in the GCT and we all made the audience laugh with our acts and silly costume. I had a last minute clown act with Toilet Plungers. Thanks Mark and Frank from Forbidden Theatre for a great clown workshop.

Macbeth Performance

This evening was our final performance of Macbeth at GCT. After we had critiques with Illona Linthwaite and Helen Schlesinger. Both interesting notes which we can take on board. Our next scene study is a Shakespeare Comedy, either Comedy Of Errors or A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Shakespeare Serious

So tomorrow our group performs Macbeth in the theatre at school. I have the lovely task of playing Banquo, a Scottish doctor and a Murderer that kills Macduff Son. We have been rehearsing for the past 3-4 weeks and its been a nice challenge. The performance will also be filled with some great movement pieces and a final Dance.
